Q1. Who picks out the names?

A1. The Kennel Klub was started by three brothers: the Old Dog, The Dog and Mush Dog. From there Tramp and Big Dog came up with the idea to expand the Klub. The first presentation and expansion happened at the Flynn Flynng site in Colorado in about 1994, the year after Jim passed away. There are a set of rules and regulations to first get initiated into the Kennel Klub and then maintain your official status as a "Dog." If the hound does not maintain his or her status, your dogship can be revoked. So to answer your question, a proposed member can be nominated with a dog name and it will be reviewed and approved by The Dog.

Q2. Are there rules?

A2. YES! Following are the bylaws of the Kennel Klub::

1. The nominee must be worthy of nomination and only nominated by a hound in good standing.

2. The Dog will be the final bark on whether or not the nominee will become an official member of the Kennel Klub.

3. The nominee has to be in attendance at an official Flynn Flynng Kennel Klub meeting to be indogrinated.

4. Once the hound is an official member of the Kennel Klub there can be no whining or the hound will be stripped of their official Dog Pedigree.

5. To remain in good standing as an official Kennel Klub member, the Dog has to be in attendance of an official Flynn Flynng at least once every two years. If the Dog misses two consecutive years, the stud/bitch will be put on probation for one year until the following Flynn Flynng and then The Dog will determine if you are worthy of retaining you dog status. Look out for the dogcatcher!

6. All puppies of dogs in good standing will be automatically indogrinated if they pee on a tree or in their diaper at the Flynn Flynng.

7. Blood Hound relatives (or by marriage) can be the only official Kennel Klub members. Exceptions will be made for dogs that run around in the pack of official Kennel Klub members if they attend an official Flynn Flynng.

8. We do not claim to be a politically correct group of dogs. We may offend those who are not a member of this elite Kennel Klub, but that is their problem and not ours.
